The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan

This month’s recommendation is John Bunyan’s timeless classic, The Pilgrim’s Progress.

The story follows a man named Christian as he flees the City of Destruction and journeys to the Celestial City. Along the way, he faces trials, temptations, and obstacles, yet perseveres by faith.

Written in the 1670s while Bunyan — a tinker by trade — was imprisoned for 12 years for preaching the gospel, this book is considered one of the most influential works in English literature, second only to the Bible in readership.

Its message still resonates powerfully today. It mirrors the Christian life with honesty and points us to our ultimate hope: heaven.
